905 Shorewinds Dr, Fort Pierce, FL 34949
This site has been rated as the top state park in Florida more than once. It is a large park with all facilities for picnicking, fishing, surfing, diving and snorkeling. The Jetty extends 500 yards from the beach and is made of large granite boulders encrusted with life which make for great snorkeling. Natural limestone Reef begins about two-thirds the way out of the jetty, about 150 yards and continues north for miles. Large Lobster have been caught here up to 15 pounds. Spearfishing is prohibited since it is a state park.
